It begins with Dick Maglich, father of six and builder of fine custom homes. Dick spent 25 years in the home building industry before finally hanging up his proverbial tool belt. Over those 25 years, Dick trained his sons to know all the ins and outs of this business. The result: Maglich Homes, the culmination of the talents of Rick and Dan Maglich. Each home that bears the Maglich name is spilling over with elegance, class and taste. The duo’s commitment to understanding the intimate and individual needs of every client is the key to their success. They understand that it is simply impossible to build a custom home without first considering the customer.

Dan-Rick The Maglich family is not simply playing house. Both sons have dedicated themselves to giving their all to their customers, and it shows.

Rick, who graduated from the University of Florida in 1980, holds a Class A license, a real estate brokers license and a mortgage brokers license. He has been a part of the company since he graduated college and aptly handles all business affairs, computer drafting and supervises construction.

A 1988 University of Tampa graduate, Dan holds a degree in business management and a general contractors license. Dan oversees all home construction and is in charge of the financial end of the business.

We’ve built hundreds of custom homes in Sarasota, Siesta Key, St. Armands, The Oaks, Prestancia and Sarasota Ranch Club.

We have been extraordinary please with all three of the projects that you completed for us. The first, a 1500 square foot addition to our 1960's ranch home on Bird Key. The third, a renovation of a Towles Court cottage into a corporate workspace. The first two projects required sensitivity to an existing structure and neighbors, diplomacy with not only the City of Sarasota but also a homeowner's association, and consideration of a budget. And to make things a little more interesting, we lived in the Bird Key house during the entire renovation! The third project, renovating Steve's office space to include a conference room and kitchen, was completed with both a tight time frame and budget. In addition to the work that we planned, you were always open and available to go above and beyond along the way - helping to hang mirrors, moving furniture, and picking up our TV for us at Best Buy in your truck.
